About 30 people attended the PSC hearing on the proposed water rate increase last night (March 31) Meramec Community College. I testified that both the 11 percent increase ROI being requested by Missouri American and the 9 percent increase being recommended by the PSC staff are excessive rates of return under current market conditions.

The e-mail address I received in a recent snail mail does not go through to the intended sight-only many auxilliary sites. I wanted to make the comment that this utility must first belt tighten before it ever goes to ask for such a huge increase. They are known for absolutely over the top salaries for their managers and huge bennies for their employees. Most people are struggling right now so I DO NOT SEE THE NEED FOR AN INCREASE. We are all belt tightening and they need to also. Donn Rice

It is with deepest sympathy that I write this note.

Alberta was a wondreful person and great leader.

She will be missed by so many freinds. Her longtime involvement in The
Volunteer Service Council of St. Louis will be long remembered.

Her legacy will live on for the good she had done.
God bless the family members.

These people who come up with these plans should be tared and feathered!!
We need to ask why our state and local goverments do not warn people about these bogus plans that hurt the poeple that pay taxed, etc.
If you follow the money trail you will find that city and state goverment reap more taxes when the price is set higher than fair market price!!

So just get the tar hot and get some chickens plucked.....

From a Nebraska over taxed citizen.

the bill is $36 a month. I sent in their dispute form, and havent heard anything. In the meantime I got another bill.
This is agricultural ground, pasture and hay field with a gravel road.

what else can I do

I didn't think a Senator could cast a vote after the committee already did its business. Was this proper protocol?
