On April 25, 2025, Consumers Council of Missouri held its annual meeting, reflecting on a successful 2024 and looking ahead to the future. Highlights included a recap of the past year’s accomplishments, the approval of a bylaw amendment to limit board service to two consecutive three-year terms, and the election of four new board members.
We are thrilled to welcome the following individuals to the CCM Board:
- Laura Gowans (Kansas City, MO) – An operations executive with over 15 years of leadership experience across mission-driven nonprofits and innovative tech companies.
- Cole Harred (Kansas City, MO) – A dedicated social worker with a strong background in direct service, community advocacy, and support.
- James Jones II (St. Louis, MO) – An attorney with deep expertise in policy reform, strategic advocacy, and community impact.
- Shelby Schroeder (St. Louis, MO) – An experienced social worker with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work, who has contributed her skills in university, government, nonprofit, healthcare, and corporate settings.
We’re excited to bring their talents, perspectives, and passion to our mission and look forward to their contributions as we continue working to level the playing field for consumers in Missouri.
