Spire Rate Case

Consumers Council is an active intervenor in Spire’s proposed +15.23% rate hike, which could increase average residential bills by $13.87 per month. On March 5, 2025, the Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) ordered Spire to respond to allegations from customers regarding improper account disconnections without prior notice, lack of awareness regarding account ownership, and delays in reconnections after arrears were paid. Spire must address these allegations by April 23, 2025. If you have experienced disconnection or reconnection issues, please contact the PSC. You can reach out to us, too, at info@moconsumers.org.

The PSC has scheduled public hearings from June 2-5, 2025, providing an opportunity for residents to share their experiences with Spire gas bill affordability. We will continue to keep you updated on any developments in this case.  (See GR-2025-0107.)
